MISSIONS

In order to reach the unreached peoples in this area, Shalom World Mission has developed three major areas of focus: Evangelism, Church Planting, and Compassionate Care.

Evangelism: Beginning in the southern regions, we plan to spread the Gospel throughout the nation as the Lord leads. Training up national leaders to take the Good News to unreached people groups is a key strategy. These leaders share their faith in any appropriate environment where they can, sometimes through some form of part-time work. We have also established a variety of ministry opportunities in local hospitals, jails, the distribution of tracts on public transportation, and in occasional street meetings.

Church Planting. The locally trained leaders are able to establish house churches as they live and work among the people groups they are evangelizing. The training and direction of this team of pastors and house churches has been the initiative of Rev. Easo, who travels to the field whenever it is feasible. Some minimal financial support for the these pastors is being raised in the U.S. by concerned believers who are beginning to partner with this ministry.

Compassionate Care. This area of focus administers all our charitable and humanitarian service projects. We believe in a holistic ministry that meets the physical, emotional, and social needs, along with the more important spiritual needs. This means that we have on-going programs in feeding the hungry, providing education for children, and other kinds of assistance to orphans and the poor.

Future Plans. Some of the things we are hoping to establish in the near future are: more rehabilitation shelters for street children, various facilities and training programs for the homeless, specialized programs for women, church buildings, a ministry office building, an elementary school, and a Bible school.
